HOW DOES THE FALL OFFER WORK?

For a flat rate of $500, we’ll visit once a week until all the leaves are down. During the visit, we’ll use rakes and quiet, battery-powered blowers to move the leaves from your lawn, sidewalk, and other hard surfaces into your garden beds or compost pile.

WHY SHOULD I LEAVE MY LEAVES?

Protect the pollinators! Fall leaves are important winter habitat for the insects and invertebrates our gardens rely on. Bees, butterflies and other pollinators, decomposers like earthworms, and pest-controllers like ladybugs need those leaves to survive! Many of these little guys are already hunkered down in the fallen leaves. Leaving your leaves keeps them safe and supports biodiversity in your garden and the larger ecosystem it's part of.

Improve plant and soil health! On top of having more beneficial critters to help with next year’s gardening, leaf cover in beds combats rain erosion, insulates shallow roots from cold weather, and provides organic material to enrich your soil.

Naturally suppress weeds! Autumn leaves act as mulch in garden beds to prevent or delay weeds from sprouting in early spring.

WHAT ABOUT THE LEAVES ON MY LAWN/SIDEWALK/DRIVEWAY/PATIO?

Leaves on your lawn can harm your grass and wet leaves on hard surfaces are a slipping hazard. Moving those leaves to garden beds or a compost pile keeps your yard tidy and safe while still protecting hibernating insects and supporting your garden’s health.

DO I NEED TO LEAVE THE LEAVES FOREVER?

No! When daytime temperatures reach 10°C, overwintering insects emerge from hibernation, and it's safe to remove the leaves from your garden beds. We can even come back and do it for you!
